Woollinn Reveal – Introducing Juniper Wings with Walk Collection and Kitterly

Introducing Juniper Wings in collaboration with Walk Collection and Kittery.  As an added bonus the time worked for a Woollinn Festival launch! Juniper Wings is knitted with the Walk Collection’s ‘Cottage Merino’ heavy sock weight yarn in 3 contrasting colourways.

Juniper Wings is a wide crescent shaped shawl that is made to show off those gems of hand dyed yarn. It moves from garter stripes into delicate lace panels and finished with an elegant picot bind-off.

This wide, flowing shawl, wraps comfortably around the body and over your shoulder. It begins at the top with a small number of stitches and increases quickly, combining garter stitch and stockinette stitch in 2 colours. Pops of bright colour are provided by the lace pattern which gets wider with each repeat. Finally, the shawl finishes with a delicate Picot bind off for the perfect finish.
This shawl is easily worn in a number of ways and is perfect for the casual look draped around your neck like a relaxed cowl. It also opens out to display the beauty of the yarn chosen in the garter stitch and lace panels which is perfect for those cool nights when you need to knock the breeze off your shoulders:
