New Bloomsbury Knits!

To finish off several months of intensive website redevelopment you may have noticed that my poor old blog has finally gotten a facelift! This weekend my blog will migrate over to www.carolfeller.com but it will still all link into my shop, classes and tutorials using the menu button up in the right corner. I’m hoping that having the blog separate from the shop will free me up mentally to think of this as more of a personal space with me dipping in and out of designs that I want to share with you.

Capall Dubh

In the last few weeks Love Knitting have reknit a couple of my older patterns that used the same weight yarn. The first one I want to share with you is Capall Dubh that is knit using The Yarn Collective Bloomsbury DK in the Fuchsia colour. (You might also spot that I’ve added a discount to the pattern for the next few weeks!).

Capall Dubh was a KAL cardigan that was released a few years ago. It starts with a cabled lace panel for each shoulder and then the front and back sections are worked down from that. The dramatic part of this cardigan is the large lace panel across the back that really catches the eye. I think it looks just great in this bright colour!

Vesuvius

The Vesuvius pattern is another great one for The Yarn Collective Bloomsbury DK. This sample is knit in the violet colour which is a subtle dark blue with hint of violet/purple. This cowl was originally part of the Scrumptious Collection.

This is a wonderfully relaxing knit, alternating stockinette with drop stitch rounds. I love this length for a cowl as it doubles up perfectly to make it fit around your neck snugly.
