Did you know that I’m going to be exhibiting at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival this year? It’s just a few short days away and we are in last minute manic planning mode around here! However I though I’d take a few minutes to let you all know what will be coming to Edinburgh with me this year. If you are going you can find me on stand A8, and you can find the floor plan here. If you’re going to be there please do drop by and say hello! Frequently the mornings are a little crazy BUT if you want to talk for a few minutes it usually gets quieter later in the day so that’s a really good time for a more relaxed talk.
Kits
Because this is such a busy show kits are a really great way to ensure you get all the yarn (and the pattern) for your project nice and quickly. I’ve printed up lots of postcards with the basic pattern information which can help you decide on sizes as well as giving you enough information in case you want to swap out or change colours. Hidden in the bottom of that postcard pile are a few more pattern surprises that will be revealed shortly before the festival!
Samples
One great thing about in-person shows is that you can see, feel, and try on samples. If you were curious about sizing or how a sample looks on you then drop by to try it on! I’ll have samples for all my most recent releases with me as well as most of the Echoes of Heather and Stone samples. If there is something you’d really love to see in person just ask and I’ll make sure that I have it with me.
New Patterns
I’ve been releasing a lot of new patterns over the last few weeks in anticipation of the show. There are still a few more releases to go; 2 from me and 1 each from Isabell Kraemer and JS Knitwear Designs. As the show get nearer more details on these last few patterns will be revealed!
New Yarn
I’ve been hinting about this for a little while BUT I will have a brand new yarn with me for EYF! (If you aren’t going to the show I will also have this up on my online shop shortly after I return and recover!).
Will I see you in Edinburgh? Is it your first time visiting? Are you as excited as I am!!
Edinburgh Yarn Festival sounds fabulous, I need to put this on my bucket list. X
You should, it’s a lot of fun!
Hi Carol,
Have fun! Wish I could be there.
Believe it or not, I was in Edinburgh in ’87? and came across an advert for the first-ever Edinburgh Yarn show. I grabbed a taxi and spent hours and money on skeins of yarn. Had to ship boxes home. Fun!
Have a grand time and I look forward to seeing the new yarn.
Have a great time at EYF! I love the Trousseau pattern.
Great to know that you’ll be there. I’d love to have a look at the Vivido cardigan but no stress! :-)
I hope you’ll save some yarn for those of us coming to the Cork retreat. I’m bringing a long list and an extra suitcase!
Don’t worry, if we’re low I’ll make sure to restock before you arrive so that all the shelves are full for you wonderful ladies :-)
Hi Carol,
yes, it will be my first time there and I will defenitly come to visit you on Saturday. I really would like to see Newgrange. That is such a fascinating pattern. Will you have it with you?
See you soon…
Yes I will!
