Can you believe that Woollinn, Ireland’s Festival of Yarn is almost upon us? Here at Stolen Stitches, we have been working away so that we can bring some fun new elements to the stand. We will be sharing these with you from now until June 14th. So grab a pen and make a note of your favourites and we will also be taking preorders too! So if you like a particular kit, need a certain yarn pack for a sweater, a signed copy of Echoes of Heather and Stone or you would like to reserve one some of the Stolen Stitches swag just pop a note in the contact form here.
First up is Caelius in Nua Worsted.
Caelius is a top-down sweater, knit in one piece with simple raglan shaping that is accentuated with lace details that extend the full length of the sweater. This is the garment you pick up when you want to wear a hug all day or just want some casual luxury.
Caelius is knit with a gentle flowing a line which allows you to modify the length of the sweater easily should you wish to have a longer more flowing garment. There are a few key features in Caelius that I love in an everyday sweater; a warm, easy to wear neckline, a long body with enough room that I can wear layers underneath (if it’s really cold outside), and all the edges are designed to be allowed to casually roll.
The simple beauty of Caelius is in the a-line shaping that happens between 2 rows for double eyelets that run from the shoulder to the hem. This not only gives the garment it’s elegant shape, but it also draws the eye to the length of the sweater.
We know that some of you find it challenging to choose contrast colours for garments so we have popped together some fun yarn kits for Caelius. We’ve chosen colours that really pop but are wearable as an everyday sweater. To see our pairings or to create your own, just pop on over to the online shop here.
Don’t forget you can save on shipping if you chose to reserve your kit for collection at Woollinn! Which reminds me, will we see you there?
