Píosa Cardigan

I thought you’d all like to know about another KAL that will be starting later in April with Renée Callahan (East London Knits) called Píosa. Knowing that shipping times were generally slow at the moment she released the sizing and yarn details early so anyone who wanted to join in knew how much yarn they’d need to order!

The cardigan is knit from Nua Worsted in the Late Night Blues colour and I really love the subtle details of the cardigan. It’s a wide rib with a single knit stitch, with a lovely detail where the rib doubles up as a shoulder. It’s a cropped style with a drop shoulder construction that’s relaxed and easy to wear. It’s suggested that the cardigan has around 10 cm/4 inches of positive ease.

From the designer:

This is more than just a cardigan; this is a one-stop, cardigan knitting class. Píosa contains multitudes, but is also a lovely little cardigan that is easy to wear and will be a well-worn addition to any handmade wardrobe.

The pattern begins by casting on just 4 stitches, and grows seamlessly from the top down.

Where to Buy

You can get the Nua Worsted yarn here and use code EASTLONDON10 until the end of April to get 10% off. I’ve got a limited number of countries I can currently ship to as many places have suspended international post.

Any countries that I can ship to are open in the shipping options.

  1. Why would you put a pocket right under the boob? That will be interesting to retrieve a tissue from the pocket.

  2. Look where your mind goes!! I think they’re more decorative than anything and add a feature to the front of the cardigan. As it’s cropped it’d be straightforward to add extra length to drop the pocket position.

  3. All I am saying is that as an artist, when I display a painting or a photograph, I know the viewer’s eye will go to a focal point – either good or bad.
