2021 – Welcome to January

Welcome to the new year everyone! It’s a pretty rocky start here in Ireland with Covid numbers rising rapidly and a further lockdown. For postal orders through my website however there won’t be any impact, I’ll continue to ship as normal, deliveries will go out 3 times a week. (Note that this can vary a little depending on volume of orders).

If you are a local customer the physical shop is closed to customers for the moment. However if you are within a 5km radius of the shop (24 Tramore Commercial Park) you can use the Local Collection option. You order on the website and I will send you a message when your order is ready. Then you can call when you reach the shop for contactless collection. This is what the option looks like on the website when you order:

I really hope that we can get through this most recent surge. It feels so close to the finish line, I’m really looking forward to see people again! I’ve got a very busy new year planned right now. This week I start with some virtual classes for the San Diego Knitting Guild. In a couple of weeks I’ve got a few classes with the Boston Knitting Guild and a few weeks after that I’ll reveal a few more!

My youngest has been busy over the holidays editing videos for me as well. I’m nearly ready to launch a class for ‘My First Sweater’. This is in the super chunk Franca yarn so it knits up really fast. If you’re an experienced knitter and just want a really fast cardigan it’ll also be available as a pattern and yarn kit as well.

So for now I’ll wish you all a Happy New Year, stay safe out there!

  1. Happy New Years Carol. Hang in there. Think all things good or bad eventually end. Just hope, pray, wait and adjust your plans.

  2. As with everything, this too shall pass. Just keeping the head down right now and finding the joy where you can!

  3. Yes, this too shall pass. Fortunately the knitting helps me a lot with the lockdowns.
