First New Patterns for EYF

I was going to do a text heavy post with lots of details about my new patterns. However we all got thrown a little off course as life here in the south of Ireland right now is looking distinctly white. We don’t get a whole lot of snow here but it’s been snowing on and off for the last couple of days and this evening we are expecting a blizzard.
We took full advantage of the snow to take photos of a Nua version of the Russler shawl. I’m so happy with this, I think it looks seriously amazing. The main colour is August Storms and the 2 contrast colours are Hatter’s Teal Party and Frog on the Wall.

I’ll be updating the pattern next week to include a second version that has the Nua yarn details. It’s a little smaller than the original but as that was HUGE it’s still a lovely big size.

In preparation for Edinburgh Yarn Festival I’ve been adding some new patterns to the website. I’m going to have lots of kits for both of these at the show and once I get back I’ll put them up on my website as well.
First up is Citrus Dream. This is a lightweight, top down raglan sweater. It’s got a scoop neck and gentle waist shaping. As this is knit in 4ply (fingering) yarn its light enough for summer wear and you can knit it in a million different colours!

The second pattern that has been released is Coiled Magenta. This is a fun one to knit, it uses 2 Nua colours, Kitten Fluff and Cafe Flamingo.

This is knit from the bottom up, the triangle wedges are shaped using German short rows and then the stripes are reverse stockinette helical stripes. The sweater is oversized with drop shoulder and garter stitch short row shoulder slopes.
What colours do you think you’d like to knit this in?

If you want to hear some details about the two patterns come check out my facebook video here:
