Way back in the summer of 2016 I had a pattern, Nouri, in Pom Pom Quarterly magazine. I was so excited when I discovered it was on the front cover! I really love this sweater, it’s kind of my perfect summer sweater. Loose, flowing and great for over jeans or a dress. It’s knit in a heavy linen yarn that’s got a chainette construction. This means that you get a little bit of ‘bounce’ which normally for linen doesn’t happen and makes it much more forgiving on your fingers to knit.
I’ve wanted to release this pattern as an individual self-published pattern for ages and I’ve just eventually gotten around to it! It took a while because there were a few changes I wanted to make to the original pattern. The first change I made was to add more sizes. It began with 6 sizes but I’ve now added another 4 sizes so that it will fit up to a 58″ (147.5 cm) bust. In addition to this I tweaked the neckline a little. For larger sizes it became a bit too deep so this updated version moves that neckline a little higher.
For the second version I thought I’d try out a new yarn as well that was more accessible in Europe. The first version was knit using Quince & Co ‘Kestrel’ which I really adored and the second version uses Lana Grossa ‘About Berlin Chilly‘*. This new yarn has the same fibre type and construction as the original and I think it worked as well for the garment as the original.
Putting It Together
I’ve done a little video here on how the garment fits together; it’s bottom up in the round and starts with a lace triangle at the hem, once that is complete it moves on to just plain stockinette stitch. The sleeves are all cast-on at the armhole and you will work the front and back separately. The bottom of the sleeve will be seamed but the top can be finished using a 3-needle bind-off.

Hi Carol, how does the discount code work? Tried to use it buying this pattern on your website, and it did not seem to change the sum total for payment
It’s still valid. Make sure you copy and paste:
NOURI15
Price without is €6 so with discount it’s €5.10.
It worked! 🙏
I had a rather funny mistake about this sweater: I somhow assumed that it has 2 lace triangles, on both sides, and I read and re-read the pattern trying to understand were are the instruction for the other triangle🤦
