Seasons Club Winter 23-24

Cosy hibernation.

That’s the resounding feeling I have when winter starts to dig its heels in. As the days are getting shorter, and the wind is cold, we need to find the simple pleasures that make this season truly special.

The bright sparkling fires and lights which are a beckon in the darkness.

That wonderful feeling you get as you walk into a bright, cosy room from the outdoors. Inviting and warm.

The comforting feeling of your favorite chair as you reach for your current wip.

This feeling and imagery above, is what we drew from for our Winter Seasons club.

Our designer for the winter club is Eimear Earley, and she is an expert at all things cosy. She is never without a warm pot of tea brewing at her side, perfect for the weather at hand.

This was the start of her winter pattern inspiration, the perfect tea pot cosy! Now, of course, not everyone is a tea drinker, so we have alternatives. There is an optional tea cosy as well as a hat. Plus a bonus matching pair of fingerless mittens!

To keep in line with our cosy theme, the winter technique is colourwork.

Stranded colourwork creates thick, snuggly finished knits perfect for keeping things toasty. For the tea and coffee cosy she will also introduce you to steeking. Gasp.

Yes… cutting your knitting ON PURPOSE!

I know it’s a little scary, but a small project like this is ideal to try it out with. We will have all the step-by-step video tutorials to walk you through the whole process. And we will be there to virtually cheer you on when you complete it!

But you want to know more about the yarn for this season’s club right?

Workshops and support

One of the reasons so many knitters choose to join our clubs is not only for the yarn and extras, but for the detailed patterns and friendly support. Each pattern comes with its own workshop series that will take you through each section of the pattern so you can sit back in your favourite crafting space and know that everything you need to knit your project is right there at your fingertips.

These workshops are recorded in English and have accompanying subtitles and an interactive comments section.

Along with this, we also have our dedicated private Seasons Club space on Knithub. This is where you can ask for support, chat with other members and check in on updates and members’ progress. You’ll also be able to take part in our launch party from here. Don’t worry if the time doesn’t suit you, a replay will be available to all our club subscribers.

So from an experienced knitter to a beginner ready for adventure, we know you’ll have everything you need to have a relaxing, enjoyable experience with our clubs.
